Add IDX to Custom Pages or Posts

Scroll down to see an example of IDX added to this WordPress page (“Blackhawk Active and Sold Listings”).

Markets (saved searches) are created in your IDX Control Panel within your iHomefinder account. You can choose locations as defined in your MLS or draw on a map to define locations.

Once created, you can display active & sold listings (where available) from a given Market in a variety of ways.

If you have MarketBoost, in your account, you have a choice of 3 report pages for each Market to add to any page or post:

  • Active & sold listings
  • Open homes
  • Market stats

Custom Content Helps SEO

On this page, we’ve embedded a Market page (available in accounts with MarketBoost) beneath this content you’re reading right now (the image above and this text). No framing is used, so the IDX content is indexed by search engines directly on the website domain, along with the custom page or post content.

By adding IDX directly into a custom page or post (no framing is used), you have full control over the following page elements which are important for SEO:

  • Title tag
  • URL
  • Content of page
  • Image alt text
